While the Lady Penguins battled to the end, the outcome wasn't what we had hoped for. 19-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20, 12-15. It was a great night of competitive volleyball! We are proud of each and every Lady Penguin and the season of 26-8❤️

This morning the HS cross country team travelled to Colby for the Division III Sectional Meet. Everyone ran well in the cold, and it was a nice course. The top two teams and top five individuals qualified for state for next Saturday, October 28th. Although no Penguins qualified, it was a successful meet for them all. Zoriah Mills ran her race in a time of 22 minutes 40.6 seconds. Sarah Hicks ran it in 25 minutes 10.6 seconds. Tessa Macik-Smith ran the race in 25 minutes 45.9 seconds, and Angelina Smith ran it in 31 minutes 27.5 seconds. Emily Bohn ran the race with a time of 31 minutes 50.1 seconds. Addison Peck ran the race in 32 minutes 10.7 seconds. Great work Penguins! Special shout-out to Alexis Eckman and Kaylee Goman, the managers, for your help with mile splits. Another special shout-out to Sydney Peck, one of our MS runners, for helping to cheer on the team. Thank you to our bus driver and to all the parents who came out to support the team. Tonight come out to support the HS football team at home @ 7 P.M. as they take on Wonewoc/Weston. Tomorrow travel to Colby HS to cheer on the HS cross country team at the Division III Cross Country Sectional Meet. The HS boys run at 10:30 A.M. and the HS girls run at 11:30 A.M. Admission will be $8. Tomorrow night the Lady Penguins play in the regional championship match 7 P.M. at Green Bay N.E.W. Admission will be $6. Check back for updates! Tonight the MS and HS cross country teams travelled to Rosholt for the CWC Conference Meet. Everyone ran well on the flat course. Six of the Penguins set new PRs and one Penguin placed 18th taking Honorable Mention! It was a successful night for the teams. Sydney and Wyatt both ran in the two-mile MS race. Sydney Peck ran it in a time of 14 minutes 00.76 seconds, a new PR by 50.24 seconds. Wyatt Howard ran it with a time of 13 minutes 34.92 seconds, a new PR by 1 minute 40.08 seconds. Congratulations Sydney and Wyatt! Everyone in HS ran in the Varsity races (3.1 miles). The top seven varsity runners per gender received 1st Team All Conference, the next seven received 2nd Team All Conference, and the next seven received Honorable Mention. Zoriah Mills ran her race in a time of 22 minutes 21.07 seconds, a new PR by 24.93 seconds. Zoriah also placed 18th, and received Honorable Mention. Congratulations Zoriah! Sarah Hicks ran it in 24 minutes 23.09 seconds, a new PR by 0.21 seconds. Tessa Macik-Smith ran the race in 25 minutes 17.04 seconds, also a new PR by 29.96 seconds. Addison Peck ran the race in 29 minutes 53.58 seconds. Emily Bohn ran the race with a time of 31 minutes 25.34 seconds, a new PR by 50.34 seconds. Congratulations Emily! Angelina started the race and was going strong, but due to breathing issues decided to listen to her body and stop. Great work Penguins!
